Although we have been Noramco’s roofing company of choice for the past
decade and have roofed many buildings at their site, none was more
challenging than the recently completed Building One reroof.
Because
of the manufacture of a highly sensitive drug in the building, we could
only have access to the roof during a four week time slot. To
complicate matters, a complete mechanical shut-down and renovation was
being done at the same time, coordinated by Century Contractors of
Matthews, NC. Whatever roofing wasn’t complete in four weeks would not
be able to be finished.
The entire roofing system, which
actually consisted of 2 old roofs, was to be removed to the deck,
rusted areas of the metal deck replaced, and a new 30 year NDL 3-ply
Soprema modified bitumen membrane system would then be installed. With
a great deal of very careful planning and coordination with the
general, we were able to complete the remove and replacement of the
19,546 square foot area in just under the required time. Another very
happy contractor and customer.
